The results of the clinical effectiveness evaluation of CALORIES were presented on 1 October 2014 in the Hot Topics session at the ESICM Annual Congress ‘LIVES 2014’ - the presentation and an interview with Professor Kathy Rowan can be viewed on the ESICM website.
Simultaneously, the results were published online in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) – this can be viewed on the NEJM website.
We would like to thank all participating sites for their hard work and commitment, and for making CALORIES the largest non-commercial multicentre trial in UK critical care, recruiting 2,400 patients.
